Cancellation Policy | Terms & Conditions

The Management at Jodha Bai Retreat understand that not all arrangements go according to plan and we offer the following flexible cancellation policy:


Cancellations or date changes made up to 30 days prior to check-in time will receive a 100% refund of the total tariff. 


Cancellations or date changes made up to 14 days prior to check-in time will receive a full credit to the value of the total tariff unless the Retreat can be rebooked. The deposit will be kept towards the credit.


Cancellations or date changes made within 7 days of check-in date are subject to 100% of the total tariff unless the Retreat can be re-booked. 


No shows will be charged full tariff. A 50% deposit will be processed at the time of booking. Balance due upon checkout.


Jodha Bai Retreat requires a 50% deposit of your total tariff to confirm a booking. The credit card details provided by you at time of booking will be debited by 50% of the total tariff.


“The balance of your booking tariff is required on the day of your arrival however your credit card will be held against our Cancellation Policy and Terms and Conditions Policy.




By booking Jodha Bai Retreat this means you accept our cancellation policy and Conditions of Reservation.  The credit card details provided on this online booking form will be held as guarantee of your booking and will be debited as per this Cancellation, Change of Date and Security Deposit  policy.


In the event of a necessary date change or cancellation, all reasonable steps will be taken to rebook the Retreat at the same rate as your booking. In an effort to rebook the Retreat another rate change (reduced or discounted) may need to be made and will be at the discretion of The Management.


All new bookings must be made via our online booking system.  No bookings will be made or accepted manually.  All new bookings are subject to our Conditions of Hire and Terms and Conditions including Cancellation and Date Change Policy.


If rebooked, at the same rate funds paid will be refunded. If a rate change (reduced/discounted amount) was necessary to rebook the Retreat then only the lesser amount will be credited to The Hirer.  The Hirer will be responsible for the difference between the original rate paid and the final amount paid by the new Hirer. There will also be a $50.00 admin charge which will be deducted against the final amount. The Hirer cannot transfer the original booking to another party unless agreed by the Management.


We accept Cash, EFT, MasterCard, & Visa. All prices include GST.  All Credit Card bookings will incur a 2% surcharge


Conditions of Reservation – Full Version


The Hirer is the person taking and accepting responsibility for the Hire of the Suite/’s (Retreat) and by either signing or receiving this document by email has read, understood and accepted all points below


Jodha Bai Retreat is let to you for holiday purposes for the duration of the period stated on your confirmation letter.


You, the Hirer must be part of the party staying at Jodha Bai Retreat unless prior, written permission is granted by the Management.


Check in time is from 2pm on the day of your arrival unless the hirer has pre purchased at time of booking or other arrangements have been made with Management. Check out is by 10:00am on the day of your departure unless the hirer has pre purchased late check out at the time of booking or otherwise agreed with Management. We will endeavour to be flexible to assist with other booked travel arrangements. Any late check out’s which are not pre-arranged will attract a minimum charge of $100.


Jodha Bai Retreat is an ADULTS ONLY estate and is not suitable for children, infants, babies. We cannot accommodation anyone under the age of 21 years. 

Our rooms at Jodha Bai Retreat are unable to accomodate animals and therefore we are strictly a NO PETS retreat.


Jodha Bai Retreat has a STRICT NO SMOKING policy in all areas other than the decks/veranda’s. Butts must be disposed of in the appropriate sand filled reciprocal on the main decks. Do not put any butts in any of the bins inside the retreats. There is NO SMOKING on or near the plunge pool or entertaining area situated at the Retreat. The Hirer agrees / accepts that SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED INSIDE Jodha Bai Retreat AT ANY TIME & therefore THE HIRER accepts full responsibility and liability for any damage to Jodha Bai Retreat or any personal injury to themselves or others resulting from smoking inside Jodha Bai Retreat. A cleaning fee of at least $200 will be charged if cigarettes are consumed in any of part of the retreat.


The Hirer agrees to use caution when using the Jacuzzi at the Retreat. The Hirer accepts full responsibility for any injury on or in the Jacuzzi and it’s surrounding areas. The Jacuzzi is no more than 1 metre deep so do not jump or dive into this Jacuzzi. The Jacuzzi is HEATED at any time including the winter months. That only registered guests of Jodha Bai Retreat, Suites 1 & 2 use the Jacuzzi.


Please be aware that the speed limit on the driveway is restricted to a max of 10kph.  


The Hirer agrees to keep Jodha Bai Retreat & its furniture, fixtures & fittings in the same state of repair & condition as at the commencement of the hire (reasonable wear and tear accepted). All breakages and/or damage must be reported to Management.


The Hirer agrees that no indoor furniture or soft furnishings are to be moved within the Retreats or taken outdoors without prior approval of the Management. Any damage caused to the flooring or any carpets, walls or doors by moving furniture will be the Hirers full responsibility to cover all costs of repair. No indoor furniture or soft furnishings are to be taken or left outside. 


The Hirer agrees that we will hold your credit card details for at least 72 hours after your scheduled departure date as security to cover any Damages, Breakages, or Losses over the replacement or repair value of $20.00 which may occur during your stay. If any Damages, Breakages or Losses occur during your stay at Jodha Bai Retreat we will debit your card to clean, repair or replace such items. If extra cleaning is necessary we will use your credit card to cover these costs.


The Hirer agrees if any Damages, Breakages or Losses over $20.00 are incurred we will advise you via email of our intention to debit your card the required amount and will also advise the amount before the transaction is completed. We will also advise, then charge your card for excess cleaning costs.


The Hirer agrees that by making a booking with us you have given your permission that your signature is not required nor does the Management need to sight your Credit Card to make transactions under our Security Deposit conditions.


If payment is made using a credit card this method will incur a 2% surcharge.


It is your responsibility to ensure funds are available on your credit card to cover all due payments.  If your card is rejected due to insufficient funds we may charge a further administration fee of $50.00 to cover costs involved in re-submitting your card for payment.


Jodha Bai Retreat maintains a very high standard of cleanliness.  To avoid excess cleaning charges (minimum $100 charge, more during public holiday periods or weekends) to you, the Hirer, please leave Jodha Bai Retreat in a satisfactorily clean and tidy condition and before check out place all crockery, cutlery, pots/pans and glassware in the dishwasher, rubbish in rubbish bin, plastic and glass in recycle bin.


No used/dirty crockery, cutlery, glassware pots or pans are to be left uncleaned on the kitchen work top or in any other location in the Retreat except in the sink or dishwasher.


If the BBQ has been used the grill and surrounding surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned (bushes and specialist clothes are provided). The gas bottle and cook-top knobs must be in the off position.


The Hirer agrees that any of her / his group members or those who are legally allowed onto the property, shall pay a replacement value and/or repair cost for any furniture, fixtures & or fittings being damaged/lost during the Term of the Hire.


The Hirer agrees that the persons visiting or occupying Jodha Bai Retreat will not exceed the number of persons indicated on this booking form, unless agreed upon by Management in writing prior to your arrival.


The Hirer agrees that for privacy and security reasons NO VISITORS are permitted at the Retreat or estate unless prior arrangements have been made in writing or confirmed by text message with Management.


The Hirer agrees that unless your wedding or elopement is being conducted (held) at Jodha Bai Retreat with Management consent there is no bridal/wedding preparation allowed to take place on the property.  


The Hirer agrees not to pass on the automated gate code to any other person who is not staying at Jodha Bai Retreat including Tour Operators. The Hirer agrees to notify Management via email prior to arrival of any tour operators who are visiting the property.


The Hirer agrees to gain prior authority with Management to hold any event such as an elopement, small wedding or any gathering of people at the Retreat, over and above those numbers stated on this booking confirmation. Consent will be at the Managements discretion. There are additional charges for elopements & weddings and these can be found on our website.


The Hirer agrees no commercial or wedding/elopement photos will be taking without the prior consent of management and all photo shoots will immediately incur a minimum $500 photo shoot fee and dependent on duration of photo shoot up to but not limited to $3,000.


The Hirer agrees that the Management of the Jodha Bai Retreat will not be held responsible for any loss, theft or damage of any personal belongings during their stay.


The Management reserves the right to change rates for special events, concerts, movies or promotions.
